Dr. Kirk Ohanian joined MRD in 2008. He is a Diagnostic Radiologist, Board certified by the American Board of Radiology as well as the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Ohanian holds a subspecialty in Neuroradiology.
Dr. Ohanian completed his undergraduate coursework at the University of California, Berkeley. Upon graduation, he went on to receive his medical degree from USC’s Keck School of Medicine, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society and received the Dean’s Award for academic excellence. In 1997, Dr. Ohanian successfully completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at UC Davis, where he was appointed Chief Resident. He remained at UC Davis and was accepted into their Neuroradiology Fellowship, which he completed in July of 1998.
Prior to joining MRD, Dr. Ohanian was the Medical Director of Radiology at San Clemente Hospital. He has worked for several other Radiology groups in addition to serving as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at UC Davis Medical Center. Dr. Ohanian is also an active member of the Radiological Society of North America. He was recognized by Orange Coast Magazine as a “Physician of Excellence” in 2010.
In his spare time, Dr. Ohanian likes to cook, travel, and surf. He has a secret passion for writing fiction novels and hopes to publish one of his works in the future.
